FREQUENTLY EXPRESSED OBSTACLES
Below are some Frequently Expressed Obstacles that Gym Owners and Coaches have expressed when deciding to participate in the Spirit Spectacular LIVE Mini Events.
Obstacle: Our gym/school is still closed.
Solution: Since our Mini Events are so easy to prepare for many athletes and sometimes their coaches are gathering in a park or a team member’s backyard to participate.
Obstacle: Since we’re closed we are not collecting money so we have no way to pay.
Solution: If money is your only obstacle please contact danny@cheergyms.com. Money should never be the reason that an athlete should be denied a positive experience.
Obstacle: We don’t have the time to prepare.
Solution: The point of these Mini Events is to make it easy and convenient in every way. The first event on Aug 30th, is 4 eight counts of Jumps, judge on timing and technique alone. You literally could meet with your team 30 minutes before your scheduled performance time.
Obstacle: I hate the idea of Virtual Competitions.
Solution: Fair enough but please consider this. In person events are not likely to return until January at the VERY EARLIEST. We as coaches must do everything we can to keep our athletes engaged and having FUN. An entire fun filled day can be planned around our LIVE events. If this whole season comes and goes without ever getting back to in person events, you’ll be happy your tried a couple Live Virtual competitions.
Obstacle: It’s not fair that teams can video tape themselves over and over until they get it perfect.
Solution: That’s not the case with our LIVE Mini Events. You get a performance time and ONE SHOT to get it right. Just like the real deal competition experience we all miss.
